Public hearing to review and consider the submittal of an application in response to the 2017 State Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Notice of Funding Availability, and to solicit citizen input. The County proposes to apply for a grant of up to $5 million, to approve the expenditures of Program Income funds in excess of $35,000 on the activities outlined in the application, and to commit $5,000 in matching County General Fund monies for the following eligible activities:
- General Administration $299,749
- Public Facility: Odyssey House Rehabilitation $2,973,392
- Housing: Housing Rehabilitation Single Unit $930,233
- Planning Technical Assistance: Homeless Study $93,023
- General Fund Cash Match $5,000
Resolution accepting public comment on the 2017 State of California Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application, approving the submittal of Nevada County’s application to the State Department of Housing and Community Development for 2017 CDBG funding up to the amount of $5,000,000, and authorizing the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to execute the application.
